DISINFECTION BY-PRODUCTS TESTING & ANALYSIS

Disinfection by-products (DBPs) are formed when products such as chlorine are used to kill bacteria and viruses in water. While the jury is still out as far as the health impact from long-term exposure to these by-products is concerned, there is evidence that exposure to water with DBPs in it could increase the risks of liver, kidney, central nervous system, and reproductive system problems. It can also increase the risk for certain types of cancer.
